not sure about that.....i have never been all that close to a mentally handicapped person ....but do you miss what you never had...i don't know...i enjoy the freedom of adulthood ....but i recognize the cost also ....it 's sort of a cake and eat it too thing...yeah adults can do stuff kids can't but they pay for it....and the bills come every month...

As I am now (wherein I place a high value upon having and gaining knowledge), I could not possibly say I would like to be mentally retarded. In fact, I have, along with some friends of mine, considered how one would function in the state of being incredibly stupid. We all agreed that while it would be rather tolerable to be blissfully ignorant of the "deeper" problems in (and out of) the world, there may well be an issue in getting depressed because of stupidity. Of course, we also agreed that none of us would choose stupidity over relative intelligence because we are used to the latter and, given our general opinions because of that, decided that it is better to be a smart, over-thinking worrier than a stupid, happy-go-lucky type who remains blissfully unaware of many things.

I've met 12 years old people worth losing a word with them... but at the same time I've met people 20 years old not worth talking to them
