Default What music makes you cry (or at least tear up)?

The Band of Brothers theme always gets me misty eyed, and "For crying out loud" by Meatloaf somehow always gets me.

"Adagio for Strings" performed by Samuel Barber. I'm a sap for some good orchestral music.

Well there's 3, although 2 of them belong to sad anime's so it brings memories of the scene's in the anime, the other one the lyrics get me.

Moonlight Shadow by Mike Oldfield gets me with those lyrics.

Megumeru by Eufonius, it's the opening to Clannad and brings memories of some pretty sad scenes in it

For Fruits Basket by Ritsuko Okazaki, it's the opening to Fruits Basket but I think this one is both the scenes from the anime and the actual song itself

Depends what shit is going on in life. There are songs for every situation and therefore can be more provocative in different situations. After my break up a couple months ago Jack Johnson's Better Together made me cry like a baby though luckily that's over now.

Generally: Time - Pink Floyd + Lyrics - YouTube

^ it's one of my favourite songs ever and it just has a weird feeling... I don't let myself listen to it often, maybe twice a year. Whenever I listen to it I am motivated and inspired not to waste my life, and then I listen to it a year later feeling exactly the same. I've been listening to it since my early teens so if that isn't depressing I don't know what is.

Also: "Life is a Pigsty" by Morrissey - From the album "Ringleader of the tormentors" (With Lyrics) - YouTube - Morrissey is the king of melancholy but this is also just a beautiful song.

Songs tend to make me cry out of the blue. It will come on shuffle and take me by surprise and something will hit home. Worse because it's happened at work on the radio too.

Practically anything by Radiohead - though especially Radiohead - No Suprises - YouTube
And "42" by Coldplay.

Also, the last chord change of AnoHana's OP is f***ing depressing; I can't help but sing along!
And Requiem for a Dream of course (If you've ever seen the movie).

Though none of these stand up to the theme from Schindler's List - if you don't cry at that while watching the movie, you're dead.

This version of Passion. A song from Kingdom Hearts.
