Hidden Anime in Anime
 

Ever seen references to other Anime in a completely different anime? I am seeing more and more as time goes on. I find it neat and a little fun to show others where it is hidden.

I will start with a Kamphir reference in Mayo Chiki Episode 10.





I believe this was in R-15... with KissXSis and several others... I was very surprised at this one! All references to Incest :D

There's a few in Durarara I remember spotting!

Baccano was playing quite frequently on screens in that anime.

Bad pic I know, but it is baccano:)

Holo was also in Durarara! Quite an awesome moment I will say!


I think I also remember seeing Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei in Hidamari sketch, but I forgot what moment that was and I lost the screenshot too XD

I see it all the time. It's actually pretty common. Durarara is basically just a really long commercial for shows.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei has a ton. You can make a whole thread just about references in that show. Same thing with Excel Saga.

From Kobato This is actually a spoiler if you haven't seen Chobits


Kobato's landlady is the landlady from Chobits. The apartment building is even the same. The cast from Tsubasa Chronicle also shows up.

In Tsubasa Chronicle thereare cameos of Chii, Kotoko, Sumomo from Chobits. Then there is Yuuko Ichihara from XXXHOLiC plus others.

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt had many references, especially Gurren Lagann

As Link points out Gintama has more anime references that you can count. Most comedy anime tend to have a few of these references.

Not sure if these would count but Paranoia Agent used the run down house from Tokyo Godfathers in the opening credits (It was the background for Misae.) The nurse was also quite similar (though her eyes are a bit different.)

I remember loads of references in Hayate no Gotoku, though don't have any screenshots... but certainly Rozen Maiden and many more, but nothing can really come to my mind, might add later if I remember
