What the Longest running OP/ED?
I have seen some really really long Openings and Endings in my span of Anime watching. My point with this post, I guess is to see how little animation artist have to work to make a full 25 minute anime, or how they try to make a 7 episode season into 12.
I would love others response to what think is the most ridiculous amount of time used for openings and Endings. I have never seen an ending as long as Samurai Girls. Here are the totals for you from the latest episode of Samurai Girls. Full Anime Time 24:45 Opening time Total Storyline Time 19:35 1:30 Ending Time 3:40 What the heck is with a 3:40 second ending? Granted it is an awesome song, but 30 seconds was dead time with lettering only. |

Well, all the latest One Piece openings are 2 minutes and a half long, but to make up for that there is no ending. It kind of sucks, actually.

The longest OP that comes to mind would be: Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei OVA2 OP 3min FULL
It's such an awesome OP too...I should really get around to watching SZS :( |

Slayers NEXT when dubbed has a pretty long ending because it takes an odd (and unpredicted from what I know) step of having 2 ending: A Japaneses credit list:
