What i most vividly remember of Kamina is his whistling when he first sees Yoko. Yeah he's badass, but it's not like we haven't seen anyone like that before. He's fun to watch and he's a great addition to the show, but i'm also going to say he's overrated.

BTW, if you finished the anime, check out the movies. You might want to wait a month or 2 so it's no longer fresh in your mind, but most of the content is actually new - even if it's a condensed retelling of the original anime. It actually ups the adrenaline/testosterone to 11. I can't really think of many other anime that got me so pumped as I was watching the 2nd movie.

Epic doesn't even begin to describe the final battle in the movie.

We're talking about GL? Man, I hated the hell out of that thing until the time shift. Getting through the episodes was...unpleasant. Things pick up after the time shift but I still don't really think it's all that great. Maybe because I don't really like any of the characters and the last battle was absurd even by anime standards.

Holy shit, I totally forgot about that. I never watched the two movies and it's been almost three years since TTGL for me! Guess it's time to PIERCE THROUGH THE HEAVENS once more!

I've been reading up on those. I'm not sure if i'm going to watch the first movie, since it's basically 15 minutes new scenes and the rest is just parts of the anime. Second movie seems more interesting though.

The first movie is mostly a re-edit although the new content was an entire battle with the 4 generals - it was pretty sweet. As far as I remember, a majority of the second film is entirely new. Also, the final battle is an hour or longer and is completely new.

I still recommend waiting a bit to watch them if you just finished the series.

I'm not even finished yet. Planning on watching the last 3 episodes tonight. And i'll wait with the movies for a while then.

DAT: It's been years since I've seen Kanamemo, and yet, watching the show again, I'm delighted by the characters and how much fun the show really was.
