Well if someone wants to post comments 'bout Spiral Labyrinth I'll definitely chime in, but I'm going at my own erratic clock of two or more episodes per day.
I just can't guarantee I'd watch only two episodes of this. It is LOGH, after all. |

The Legend of the Galactic Heroes movies/OVAs can pretty much be viewed in any order, ignoring the 110 episode series proper. Most of them - as with Spiral Labyrinth - are prequels, and the only non-prequel takes place early during the series. I've been watching them in production order, though, and Spiral Labyrinth is the last of those titles.

Well ForgottenSon, as I often tell people, Legend of the Galactic Heroes is actually divided into four seasons. There's useful primers at the start of each season so people can view those fairly independently of each other.
The first season? That's 26 episodes long. So give that a go. And you could do the next season at a later date. About Galactic Heroes: |

Oh and regarding Red Line I have wanted to see that for like, years. It had a trailer released years ago because it's been in the works for years - one of those really long winded animated labour of love deals. It's one of those anime films I thought 'yeah I want to see' and then patiently waited to see if I'd ever, ever hear of it again (hey Amano I STILL WANT YOUR ANIME FILM BASED LOOSELY ON A MOZART OPERA IT'LL BE LIKE ANGELS EGG ONLY PLUS MOZART K? Bai) which is how things go.
Now seriously go on youtube and watch the trailers. Any of the trailers. Mind-blowing stuff. Like, just... beautiful animation and crazy awesome action going down all at once. There's nothing about it I don't like. I must see that movie. Granted. I've never been Koike's biggest fan - Trava is a passable little space oddity, and I think everyone liked pissing on his Animatrix short (which is also a sci-fi sports piece, incidentally) - but I'm not an anti-fan either. But this? Yeah. Want. |

You've convinced me, even though I know I'm going to end up watching 10 eps at a time. My band mates won't be pleased, but fuck 'em.
I think I'll cleanse my anime palate with something short, light and stupid like Seitokai Yakuindomo first, though. |
