I've only seen the original OVA, and while I liked it it wasn't fantastic (well, aside from the animation, which I recall being pretty damn good for the period). It's pretty much cyberpunk where some girls gain robosuits up and punch people out with a lot of 80s cheese. By day, they're pop stars with a band with the most obvious Blade Runner referencing name ever, by night, explosions and action!

...alright, maybe it was pretty fun. But I am a sucker for anything I can say '80s cheese' and 'cyberpunk' about.

Me too, dude, me too! That's why I'm keen to see it. Besides, it was a request from ThePatches and I like taking requests.

There is a cheap Region 1 DVD but I don't have a region free DVD player and can't afford one right now. Bah, life.

On DVD? If you're one of those loyal buyers, then surely you can be forgiven once for downloading a show that you really wanna watch?

Priss is the only one that's a part of the band The Replicants (there's other references to Blade Runner besides that obvious one). The other girls do other things. Sylia runs a lingerie shop, Nene is an AD police officer and Linna is an aerobics instructor. The music and character designs are the best things about BGC if you ask me.

Too bad the series was cut short.

On subject of movies people want.

I'm glad Red Line actually exists and isn't just some teasing trailer I saw years ago and I figure that'll be a pretty fun movie (and if not, at least a movie with a lot of stuff going on in it).

Honestly it's been a while, I guess those two bits just confused themselves in my head. I do recall Nene's job being a big deal now that you bring it up.

But yeah. Pris and the Replicants. The moment I saw that band name I knew I'd be in for a fun time.

I didn't think the character designs are anything to write home about. The machines, however, were really well done and there's one episode in particular that just gives so much loving detail to a car.
