Why don't Korean people create anime out of Manhwa. I mean there are several great series that I have read that could be some really great anime series. I know that they do do a lot more live-action and movies based off of it lately but still they could make some really great anime series out of some of their stuff.

Well, then it wouldn't be anime. It would be the Korean equivalent. Anime is just another way of saying animation of course, but anime is used to single out Japanese animation. There's a history on what Japanese animation has been called, it's not always been anime. If I remember correctly from what I've read, anime is a very short short-hand for a much longer wording which started to be used in the 50's and 60's, I think.

Although the style of animation would be nice to see from other countries as well.

Yeah, I was trying not to bring that up. That was some real original thinking by the US anime industry.

But yeah, if you want to have an interesting read about anime and it's history, I suggest The Rough Guide to Anime. It talks about anime from the first actual anime to what was current when the book was published.

yeah i like the style ... what i don't like is all the crap given to anyone outside of japan who tries to use it ...even though a lot of anime is being out sourced to korea...

That brings up a funny thought. Even Asian countries are sending work to other Asian countries to save a dime.

I don't really care, although I enjoy the way Japanese sounds. Usually it's the story and characters that make me like the show anyways, so why should it matter if it was drawn by a non-Japanese person.

i don't care i just know if you read the anime site non Japanese ,,anime style shows are not seen in a very good light...
