Anyway, I can pretty much predict the route that'll be chosen for the anime. It won't be my personal ''perfect'' version of the story almost for sure, but there's a high chance it'll be very good nonetheless. I just hope

The typical is to choose the "neutral" path, at least in SMT. In the first game is the canonic, although if it is like in SMT: Lucifer's Call (that there are these paths:)
it's more difficult of deciding, but still they goes by the "Mankind path". I suppose because (besides being typical) they can make more games with similar situations and "canonical". |

Making definite endings for something like this would not. The only problem is how would you do it? OVAs? Extra material? Entire different seasons? I can imagine that if there's certain "decisive" choices that needs to be made early in the series then you could make entirely different seasons out of what happens after each "choice". Hell, I can imagine one long season with different "arcs" that are essentially different endings. Wait, isn't that what Amagami SS is like? Nah, that would maybe seem a bit indecisive. I doubt anything whatsoever of this magnitude will happen though. But if the show turns out to be popular enough then you never know. Dunno, I haven't played the game. I'm going to assume that they'll kill of everyone but the "fan favorites", and perhaps one of those even just to make some extra sad moments. Perhaps there's going to be a "grand choice" at the end, and then they'll just chicken shit and leave it up to us to imagine what happens. Now that could have an interesting catch: The entire season playing out how the writers feel like it, but the "final choice"(if there is such a thing) would then be, say, separate episodes for DVD only. Annoying at first, maybe, but that could work. Kinda like playing Human revolution and saving before making a final choice, just to see all the different ending videos, except in this case it would be more than mere monologue. |

The Individuality Path sounds pretty interesting. I'd probably go for that one in my first playthrough only to read the characters' motivations to support such a future... Unless that game is not like SMT where each character reaches their own conclusions. This also reminds me that I need to play more SMT games soon... It'll soon be time to put down Devil Survivor 2... Three out of five routes finished, Secret Boss defeated, all skills, 99% of demons. ![]() Quote:

Devil Survivor 2. It apparently plays out differently depending on your choices.

Just another troublesome trait of mine. (That's not to say there weren't other good routes for me after the first, though - the ones left are pretty much: one that's redundant, and one whose goal is surrealistic and infantile)

Kinda, just that apparently you get to decide the fate of humanity and stuff.
Say, I'm not going to play that game, but I wonder if among the choices there's one like in Human revolution: And then making sure no one else can do it either, including you. I never personally went for that one in my two playthroughs, but I feel games like that should have something like it. Even people who chose otherwise tend to agree that it is the "correct" ending, and would probably be canon if it was a movie, or a book or something. I wonder if DS2 has it. Not that it has to specifically be the same, but something along the lines of it. |
