^^ agree. so i just use mine for "short" term anime goals. atm my list consists of shows i wish to get through before the end of 2013 :)

It's even worse when you try to reduce your WtW list by watching anime, and you notice the list still keeps growing.

I generally have a limited interest in most "old" series, which I guess eliminates a lot of stuff.
Longer series need to be really promising(and generally famous) if I am to bothered with them(due to the "time I could have spent on other series" factor; length does not daunt me much).
"Long" would be anything longer than 30 episodes.

So my WTW list generally isn't a problem.
Every once in a while I "clean" it for new series that turned out to be crap, series I found out more about from some other source and then became disinterested, stuff I added on a whim that I don't really crave to see enough for it to be on the list, etc
Speaking of which... time to clean it!

I like old series, they're more often original and experimental with less forced additions like fan service or specific character types.

I like old series as well, but are so damm hard to find the subs for them specially stuff from the 70s, but aside from that I still have a gigantic list of stuff i want to watch. I dont think it will end because it keeps pilling up and for me I really need to make a list because if I dont I ll forget about it.
