Well, hype can lead a person to way worse shows than Haruhi.

Yea, it had very small differences between each of them but it was overall the same. I saw it 5 times until I quit and just went to the 8th and skipped to like the last 2 minutes to see how the endless 8 ended.
First time I started watching it I thought I had clicked on the wrong episode and then I learned about the endless 8. |

I watched 3 episodes, then went to Wikipedia and found the Endless Eight.
I was stupefied to say the least and just skipped to the last part of the 8th episode. But I like MoHS overall. It might be a little overrated but Kyon's a great lead for it.

In theory they did the endless 8 to show how Nagato must have felt after experiencing those same events thousands of times. Sort of to make the watcher feel sympathetic.
Although to be honest they were probably just testing how much they would be able to fuck with their fans.

Although you probably don't even need to see the 2nd season to watch it.
