Not the same thing. FMA had personified enemies by then, characters you could have playing the roles of the ''final villains'', and it's a kind of story that allows introducing new enemies as well (e.g. the first anime's Wrath). You could use those characters and wrap up the story with them against the protagonists.

Due to its own nature, that's not possible in Shingeki no Kyojin. It's obvious if you think about it for a minute.

If we are fussy of course they're not the same, but I only say that if they want they can xD.

Anyway, I trust them, they're not Bones (and their 50 eps series) or Gonzo, so I'm not worrying about it by now.

Eh, I respect SnK for what it is. It just fell in bad taste for me, though I did read every available manga chapter and can clearly say that it was captivating. I just do not wish to continue on it anymore, nor go through it again.
But I know why people love it, and I respect it for it and I wish all success upon it.
And since the studio animating it seems to be something of a new player with some kickass animation style I also hope for success so that I can see what other stuff they can do.

Though you should totally try out Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko as well.
I would say "it isn't really what it looks like" but fuck it: It is what it looks like, but this is what these types of shows should be like! At the bare minimum, this is what they should be like.
The ecchi harem genre would be a respectable branch of romance storytelling if most were like this.
Well, provided the anime adaptation won't be a fuckup of some sort then it's going to be great.
It took me by surprise in the same fashion as Tonari no Kaibutsu-Kun when I started reading the manga.

From what I gather by some of the images that pop up when googling it, it has Yandere elements. I'm interested, and will probably be joining ya on that one.
Not sure if I should try out the manga first though.
I wonder if the male protagonist is going to be interesting... I expect some guy to be slowly torn down and broken, but I at least hope he doesn't start out as some shinji-esque pussy.

Really, between this studio and WHITE FOX I'm starting to look more forward to new studios' projects than the old ones' (Madhouse being the exception, of course). Both of WHITE FOX's first works were great shows: Katanagatari and Steins;Gate. Although it seems they screwed up with Jormungand - personally I wouldn't know as I haven't watched it. Yet.

But I digress. Anyway this is an amazing start for this new studio and I hope everything will go well for it. If SnK's anime is even half as successful as the manga is, I think they have something good in their hands.

Yeah, I will. I try to give everything a look as long as it doesn't clearly look like everyday's same old crap, so it was a pretty sure thing to check this one out.

The story isn't anything grandiose and has some rather common elements for the genre, but the characters are very endearing in a rather short amount of time.
Also the art. Characters and the art really build on each other to create *HNNNNNNNGGGH*

Actually, scratch what I first said. The story is made so that it builds on the characters even more. It just isn't "huge" of any kind, and doesn't stand out much by itself.

And I finally found out that J.C. Staff is the one doing it. Well, that certainly is their territory.

Uh well, I don't really recognize Brain's Base in that group of studios since their early works date back from 2000, and their major stuff for me is mainly Baccano! and Durarara!.

---
By the way: major fuck-up on the Katanagatari/Steins;Gate studio name. I meant WHITE FOX.
... ''SILVER LINK''? Seriously...?

DAT: Gosick thought.
A new character called Anastasia?
From Russia?
Who says she's the daughter of "wealthy aristocratic family"?

Oh dear. You never read the manga, did you...?

While there's only one instance of a explicit moment, it might not even come up in the anime adaptation anyway due to censorship. (The aforementioned moment becomes a highly important part of the plot and the development of one character in particular from then on).

...Well, I found Chapter 26 disturbing. No-one else probably did. Judging by the idiotic comments by children reading the series on a certain manga reader website, most readers seemed to think it was fan service.

''Kill one dog and you'll be called a dog killer''

One instance of a explicit moment doesn't change my mind about a whole series. That is, I won't think the explicitness is a part of what that manga needs to be disturbing. Also, I was referring more to physical violence than nudity/sexual agressions.

That being said, you're right that I haven't read it. Despite all this, the show could just turn out stupid to me... but I'm betting positively here.
