Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with this hobby.

Then I watch the new episode of From the New World. This week in particular has one of the best episodes of that show to date.

I do seriously wonder if this series could win the Seiun Award, joining Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, The Wings of Honnemaise, Cowboy Bebop, Voices from a Distant Star, Planetes, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Denno Coil, Summer Wars and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The novel it was based on won the Seiun for literature the same year as Denno Coil won for media, so I don't think it's that much of a stretch to consider this series a contender.

I certainly did not spend the past three months periodically googling for information about Berserk II's Blu-ray release date in Japan. I have better things to do with my time... sure...
