Default Tsubasa Chronicles...unfinished?

I had the pleasure of viewing Tsubasa Chronicles some time ago and was thrilled to see it continued to such lengths in a second season + OVA's.

But...Did they finish it? There seems to be a huge gap too... is there something I'm missing?

What's the chronological order to this show? Is there indeed a missing section between second season and the OVA's?

The anime to some point followed the manga. Then the second half ot the second season was anime orignal creation, which turned out to be weak. So the story was given to a different studio (or so I think) and they created an OVAs following manga story closely. But the manga wasn't finished yet at that point.
Not long ago the manga was finally completed so now you can either read the manga for the whole story, or wait till someone decides to make this into an anime series/ova/movie/whatever and put a closure on the brand.

I guess that answers my question to why the OVA's kicked the first to seasons arses.

Thanks, guess I'll read up sometime.

Its also worth watching xxxHolic for the confusing character crossovers in Shunraki and Shunmuki OVAs :)

I was greatly disappointed with the anime. I mean the overal story was brilliant but the closure was so stupid and was literally unfinished.

This one is in the same boat as Gantz for me, and I'll have to read the manga someday even though I don't like reading it.

If they'd just fix up where they left on the second season, maybe throw in that OVA for the 'main story' and continue on from there they could salvage this anime and turn it into a solid 8.

People in jap are tards though so I don't expect muchl.
