that would be sure good to have included in a guide

Yep. Though this guide is very newly established. It'll probably be evolving a lot the next few days ^^ I'm looking forward to see it in a month or two maybe. If it sticks around.

i judge an episode of anime on how good it was not on how well it relates to a manga as i don't read manga....the filler thing has always amused me....good is good bad is bad and manga is irrelevant...to me..just my opinion...

In general those are right, but a lot of the fillers contain important information:

episode 93, contains some information
introduces the mystery powder, not sure how it is introduced in the manga, but its also very entertaining ;D

Episode 94 the first half of it are fillers, the rest is really important
introducing ace

Episode 95 has about 5min fillers, the rest follows the manga...

Episode 96 if you don't watch that one, you won't even understand the whole problem of the arc
baraque works transports the dance powder and they have an "accident" with it

Episode 101 is really important at around the last minute
Ace gives Luffy the vivre card

Episode 219 last few minutes are also manga material
showing aokiji

God. This Guide might get fairly detailed in the end if things like this is added to it ^^

Problem is getting over complex.

Basically all you really need to do is differeate between Random Filler - New Arc - Contains something related to main story - Recap

Some people won't skip anything, others only random fillers, new arcs can be worth watching but if you start it and go 'meh' you know when you can skip to, recaps are missable, and then last some fillers actually have a few minutes of story in them which many wouldn't want to miss.

These could easily be noted with a colour system. Just colour the episode numbers xxx-xxx depending on what they are.

Well they can be, but they can also be really annoying and boring. Especially for series such as Naruto/Bleach/etc where they take up 10's of episodes vs the random filler ep that you get in normal series.

I agree. It should contain vital information. But not too much.

This thread is not here to make people skip the fillers, it's just here to use as a reference for the people who want to skip the fillers, for what ever reason. FYI there's many fillers i wouldn't recommend skipping for instance G8 filler arc in one piece and most of the fillers in Prince of Tennis, just a matter of personal opinion.

EDIT: Oh and thanks for input guys, though i'll be needing alot of help to get it to standards, such as posts which should be edited to the opening post.

this is a smart idea. if it becomes organized and there are guidelines to the guide (such as marking recap, arc, whatever) and gets big enough, perhaps ill find a way to work in this info into the official anime/manga entries.
