Highest avg rating (top-30 list)
 

The 'sort by avg rating' feature hasn't been added yet to the site, so if anyone's curious about the highest rated anime, I just made a list. I weighted the list so that the fewer people have seen an anime, the more the rating gets pulled down (otherwise #1 would have been something that was rated by only 1 person).

Of course there's never going to be a perfect list, but is it better or worse than the lists on other sites (ANN, MAL, AniDB, etc.)?

NGE is rated only 3.92.

there's only one list I go by... and that's my list. Tho after rewatching the Kenshin ova's a month ago I think I severely underrated it on my list. and also... seriously? Code Geass? I found it entertaining but not half as good as NGE. other than those two the list aint too bad I guess.

(uh-oh, you said the M word)

ANN only has a Top 10 and on AniDB you can at most sort by rating and hide synonyms.

On first look the AP list agrees with me the most, out of those four.

Junjou season 2 at number 4? Really?

I guess the first season was trashed by manlove haters, and so they didn't even touch the second series :(

But as Marmar said, my list is the most important to me, and I'll stick to the anirecs to find something new. Can't really trust a list with code GayAss as #1 :p

I doubt it has much to do with manlove haters, because Ouran is ranked highly. I think that sequels in general have an advantage on these types of lists. Junjou season 1 is rated 4.18, btw (you can see the exact rating for any anime by viewing the page source).
