Even here in Fayetteville, a very non-progressive military town, we have an art house theater that would have been willing to show the new EVA movie. It's like Funimation decided to not even try for the US audiences...
Its a limited release I suppose to those theaters in the list. I to wish there was more screenings but I guess it doesn't play out that way.

Awesome! I got to see it with a decent group of other anime fans, and seeing it on a larger screen was a plus.
I might have to go Ninja stealth back to Seattle and take this poster ;)

Here is a muy blurry shot of Shinji being his silly hat self

And of course me going into the theater. I was subsequently killed off and I am but a ghost speaking to you all.

It was totally worth it.
I felt they did a decent job on the dub. Comparing it to the sub, obviously I am more used to that, but it was done as good as can be expected.
The action was fun to see again. The more I read about the latest movie that opened in Japan, the more I want to see it next.
But this one leaves us at the perfect spot to break till part2

also after the credits, they kept the commercial (that was in the original viewing) for the next chapter.

Glad you got to see it. Any Anime shown in a theater is a plus in my book. To bad Fayetteville NC (as well as any of NC) is not going to be seeing this movie on the big screen...

I wonder when the DVD comes out? I sort of looked it up but did not see a actual release date.

BlackSheep could go either way
Default Re: Eva:1.0 Film on 70+ N. American Screens This Summer

I actually held off watching the sub version so I could watch the dub, since I watched the series dubbed, and I was excited to see it be coming to theaters but I would have to take a plane 3-4 states over to see it

*Sigh*

I'm gonna have to wait for the DVD
