I saw it last week at anime club. Even if I didn't see it then, I wouldn't go see it. I only watch anime in Japanese with an exception of two shows (Wolf's Rain and Cowboy Bebop). Plus, there will be a lot of wapanese. Gosh, they are so annoying.

![]() I went, it was fantastic. hearing the full sound and crisp picture on a huge screen was nice. It has a nice simple story too, with sword clashing action breaking it up. The main Bad guy is a bad-ass, but my favorite character is most definately the faithful mutt, Tobimaru. The Dub was nicely done. Most of the voices were pretty fresh sounding and they actually cast a kid for the boy role, which I like better than an older person trying to sound young. I was however preterbed that it was 12.50 this time for Fathom's showing. I guess they are recouping costs, but it seems a bit of a bummer to flip out half the cost of a DVD just to see something I have already seen, and will most likely own. They did have a small thing at the end, showing a behinds the scenes at Bones. ![]() I was wondering how they were going to do the Chinese when they were talking, because of the dub. Luckily they kept them speaking Chinese, and subtitled that, then had everyone else dubbed. It worked in my humble opinion. |

I thought even as shallow 'guy type fun' (-_-;) it was decidedly average.

You have not seen enough spaghetti westerns and samurai flicks. I am a huge fan of Yojimbo/Sanjuro/Seven Samurai which this harkens too.

Stopped watching after an hour. Boooring.
The Chinese sounds terrible and the music manages to be so average it's annoying. Reminds me of the Lord of Ring, which is not a good thing. Nagase Tomoya sounds like Nakano Yuuto, which is. Also the stunt co-ordination was nice. One of the credits was "person design" XD |
