Default KyoAni dumps waifuz, creates wet guys instead

A revolution in anime has happened and you weren't even aware! News just in from KyoAni: disease-ridden waifuz are out, strapping young husbandos are totally in!.

As shown by this group of guys who are totally wet (no, really, because they're swimmers in a swimming pool).

Only thing I can figure out about the plot is that it's about competing swimmers. And the animation looks pretty rockin'. Anyone know anything else? Because I hope this turns out to have a good plot rather than just being about the homoerotic misadventures of damp muscly torsos. (And yes, I too was slightly disappointed to find out the big new project was not another FMP. But semi-naked guys could distract me from the pain for now anyway...)

Old news, Vivis. =)

Eh, considering the proportion of pool scenes - bishonen fanservice in the trailer (2 seconds - the rest), I'm not expecting much from it. It will probably have several beautifully animated swimming scenes but no overall gripping plot to tie them together and actually make them exciting or interesting to watch.

I may be being a tad too skeptical here, but I feel it's safe to assume that it'll be just fangirl/fujoshi sexual fantasy material at its core - because that's mostly the kind of audience that's been spreading the thing all over the Internet, to begin with. KyoAni knows who they're truly targeting with this.

Not that I mind them getting what they want: just as there's so much moeblob crap for heterosexual otaku men, it's only fair the other half is satisfied too. Just saying that this probably won't be my thing.

Yeah, this has been mentioned before and then later confirmed.

But yeah, the previews haven't even looked slightly redeemable for someone who is not the target audience. I'll probably skip this as well, I just hope that it's on par with kyoani's usual stuff for those watching it. Who knows, it might be a surprisingly entertaining show! I mean, I was sort of pleasantly surprised with kimi to boku's second season after hating the first season and of course the daily live of high school boys so it's possible for me to like the ''guys doing stuff'' anime's

But if this is going to lean heavily on swimming as a sport it will probably be quite dull as most sports anime are sub-par with a few hard to find gems ( unless you look at ratings... and even then sometimes )

Haha. Love that I'm only spreading old news around. This is what happens when you disappear for years from the anime scene.

Well okay. I hope it has an interesting plot, anyway. It's not good news right now, though, that they're revealing nothing about the story and promoting it purely on the smooth chests.

I just want some good ol' homo eroticism without actual Yaoi for a change.
"Bishounens in swimming teams getting wet" is no new concept for me, however, due to the kind of sites I go to, that usually ends with someone having a slightly harder time holding off pooping. Do not want.
So yeah. I'm actually really looking forward to it, and for all I know it could turn out to be quite informative about the sport.

^ I'm guessing about as informative as Softenni was about soft tennis.
