Even though TTGL is pretty silly at times, it still holds up as one of the most emotionally engaging anime I've seen in recent years :)

It took 7 episodes to get there, but 8 through 11 are pretty good. Before that i was bored at times and had to tell myself to keep watching, but from episode 8 on i've been watching non-stop. Now on to episode 12!

Oh and Simon's emotional state in episode 9 was done very well! I really enjoyed that.

The second half is the best part of the series (apart from a couple of episodes w/ Rossieu sp?). Most people just talk about 8 because it's a major turning point in the series.

Angel Beats ep1 Giving this series a second chance after dropping it as just an overrated, overwatched anime.
