That's not what I was thinking of maybe I'm only thinking of it because one of the lead characters(Kaede) just reminds me of another character in another show that I just can't remember. Thanks for your help anyway.

Hello, I've tried to find the name of this anime the entire night now. I registered on this site to find someone who knows the answer. I assume it's a 80s or early 90s serie and I only watched it long ago. Here is the only link which I accidently saw while watching funny .gifs.

This anime is just awesome.

I watched this anime back in 1995 it aired on UPN channel 9 in New York City when I was 7. I only remember the first episode and minor details of the show.

The show is a mecha anime show. So here is what I know.

The first episode has a boy (looks like a teen) crash land outside a building. I can't remember the spaceship but I remember the boy was naked and kind of weak.

His family (or i think his family) was on a spaceship when they met this alien thing (supposedly his family or his crew died) and he was the sole survivor.

He is the only one that can pilot the mech which has a attachment like a hoverboard that allows him to go high in the atmosphere and do battle if needed. The show seems like a early 90s or a 80s animation show. Anyone have any idea what this show could be?

llsektorll, could it be Eureka Seven? It sounds sorta like it, but I don't know of that many mecha anime.

Definitely not Eureka Seven since it was in 95, you might be talking about Teknoman or Tekkaman, not sure about the spelling, I just briefly remember this.

I remember watching a couple episodes, and it fits your description, I just don't remember the hoverboards.
