Update 3: Production I.G has launched an official website for the new anime, as well as Twitter and Facebook accounts. Production I.G has also released a full image of the main character Motoko Kusanagi.

The website confirms the staff information, and announces that a "Ghost in the Shell Arise Production Presentation" will be streamed live worldwide on February 12 at 9:00 p.m. in Japan (7:00 a.m. EST) on Niconico, Bandai Channel, and YouTube. The event itself will be held at the nicofarre event hall in Tokyo.

A "Ghost in the Shell Arise Production Commemoration Special Night" event will also be held at the TOHO Cinemas in Roppongi Hills on February 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00p.m. Tickets will go on sale on January 16 and will cost 2,000 yen (about US$22.50). The event will screen the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - The Laughing Man compilation, and the Ghost in the Shell 2.0 and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society 3D films. Additionally, the event will host a 60-minute live-viewing event for Ghost in the Shell Arise, which will include announcements, clips from the new anime, and a talk show featuring staff and other special guests.

A Certain Scientific Railgun's return slated for April

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It has been announced that the second season of A Certain Scientific Railgun, A Certain Scientific Railgun S, will begin airing in Japan this April. It was also revealed that musical unit fripSide will once again provide the opening theme for the series. The unit performed the two opening themes for the first season, as well as the opening theme for the OVA.

A second season of the A Certain Magical Index spinoff was announced at the Dengeki 20th Anniversary Festival last October. ASCII Media Works' Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine confirmed later that month the previous season's cast and staff are returning. The main story of A Certain Scientific Railgun S will follow the Sisters arc from the source material.

^ This time with canon plot, apparently.
Seems you need to have watched To aru majutsu no Index if you want to make sense of it.
Well, The Sisters are going to be in it, so that would go without saying.

Shima Kōsaku Corporate Manga Gets Anime

This year's ninth issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine is announcing on Thursday that Kenshi Hirokane's long-running Shima Kōsaku manga is being made into a "somewhat unusual anime." The anime's release format, launch date, and other details will be provided in the magazine and its official website in the future. Since 1983, Hirokane has been depicting the corporate rise of a Japanese executive named Kosaku Shima.

With every change in job title the main character receives, the manga title also changes. The manga began under the name Kachō Shima Kōsaku (Section Chief Kosaku Shima), and the two current series are Shachō Shima Kōsaku (President Kosaku Shima) in Morning magazine and a prequel called Kakarichō Shima Kōsaku in Morning's sibling publication, Evening. Kodansha published two bilingual volumes of Shachō Shima Kōsaku last year.
Yet another interesting title for Spring (apparently, it's confirmed to air in that season).

Now there's seven shows I'm definitely watching.

-Shingeki no Kyojin / Attack on Titan
-Devil Survivor 2
-Aku no Hana / Flowers of Evil
-Higurashi: Outbreak
-Suisei no Gargantia
-Railgun S

That's also pretty much the order in which I'm looking forward to them.

Huh.
And I myself am only particularly looking forward to Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko and Railgun S.
I guess I'll be checking out Suisei no Gargantia and Dansai bunri no crime edge.
Perhaps Aku no Hana as well if word of mouth declares it worthwhile.
