I just want to see Rock and Revvy kiss. I don't care if it's for a mission, by accident, or what ever. I just want to see it happen and then watch their reactions. You know Revvy likes Rock, but would probably deny it ever happened and threaten to kill him if he ever spoke of it to anyone.

I would definitely sign that petition. As for Rock being a wimp, he has his strengths and weaknesses. He may not be a fighter, but he has people skills and brings sanity to the Black Lagoon when it is severely needed.

hahahaa people skills.... rocks a hypocrite he talks alot of hype but no action to back it up... i guess u can say he does bring sanity for revy/etc but his personality is pretty recycled material, its the usual typical male char lead, the only thing he does is say someones name, like during a fight.. Levy! or Dutch! then he'll go are you okay! hang in there! like its suppose to do anything

By people skills I don't mean fighting skills. He knows how to deal with certain people as to avoid a fight. A bunch of times, when there would have been a fight, Rock is able to take control of the situation and calm everyone down

the Russian Mafia comes to mind here

. I don't think they took rock onto the Black Lagoon because he was a lethal gun fighter, the fact that he throws a rifle at a helicopter is proof of that. Don't know what I am really arguing about here so I will stop.

He's smart. He comes up with plans the others wouldn't think of. Like using the abandoned boat to jump and kill the chopper.

He's also the negotiator of the group. It was because of his talk that the deal with the church didn't turn into a blood bath. He's also the one that manages to keep Revvy in line.

I don't know if anyone else posted this but I just saw it on animenewsnetwork. Black Lagoon 2nd Barrage premiered on G4TechTV in Canada and is airing on Fridays.

A 3rd season for Black Lagoon would be great. There are so many more possibility's for this anime, in the terms of character development and such like. I've been meaning to read the manga but ive got a tad to many on the go at the moment to add another on into the mix.

As for the characters themselves i think that Rock is actually quite a good lead male and compliments the rest of the Black Lagoon line up quite well in the fact that he is weak and kinda naive, and i don't think the anime would be made any better if Rock was this strong strapping powerful lead male. Also his plans are second to none.

Yes, I certainly agree that the show could easily pull off another season without an awkward shift in direction and continue on its character development. But the first two seasons were done in 2006 and I don't think after a full year haitus, it will just come on back. Even if there is still lots of manga to cover, the same could be said about Gantz, and to this day the pathetic amount of arcs covered in the anime is astounding to me.

About Rock, there were times when I felt he wasn't really a great main protagonist, but I feel that the show tries to justify his existance as such many times, especially with the last arc of the second season. All in all, I think he is worthy of his position, especially as a foil to Revy.
