Anime that made you cry....
Following an earlier conversation with a fellow anime fan I decided to query whether anyone else has cried like a baby at an anime. This stems from having watched Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal last week, where I cried (snot and all) for about 3hours at the end & was still haunted by the sadness for 3days. Seriously huge spoiler ensues: Powerful stuff! Anyway, if there's been any anime that has saddened you so much that you too cried like a baby, than now is the time share! Or maybe just something that you were deeply moved by... Feel free to mention what it was that got to you but don't forget to use spoilers. If you think me a sissy for crying at anime than that's fine, but there are other tearful anime fans out there.... right?? |
Re: Anime that made you cry....
Yeah... I'm usually a crybaby for that kind of stuff, but only a few anime successfully got me to really cry out of joy or sadness.
The only ones I can remember of are SaiKano (for obvious reasons, if you've watched it to the very end) and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. Today I'm still not sure if, concerning the latter, if they were tears of joy or sadness... a little bit of both I guess... It was sad, but still it ended the way I wanted it to so it was a relief. The storytelling was really moving and the ending sooooo touching, they totally got me with this last episode :crying: Chrno Crusade ALMOST got me with its ending.... almost :p |
Re: Anime that made you cry....
Last episode of Azumanga Daioh :crying:
It was like having to say goodbye to my best friends so I almost cried. But well, I have yet to actually cry when watching anime. I might get my eyes a bit teary and it's not like I don't feel moved by the events, just actually crying is rare for me. Also School days left me depressed for a couple of days. Wasn't very nice. |
Re: Anime that made you cry....
Well... I kind of haven't cried in I think about 14 or 15 years now... (Yea, I know... Wierd huh?) But the closest I've come was with Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien... I got that feeling welling up inside of me..

Re: Anime that made you cry....
Hmm...well I've never cried for extended periods due to books, TV, Anime or movies, but I suppose getting smacked with a tearjerker isn't too rare of an occurrence for me. Family matters tend to strike me more than romance.
At the end of Jigoku Shoujo: (This will make no sense if you haven't seen it) At the end of Magic Users Club OVA: |

Re: Anime that made you cry....
Don't worry tasanime you are not the only one out there, before I watched anime, I never cried I was like a stone. After watching all these series, I get teary eyed easily, and I imo, I think it makes the anime so much better. If an anime is able to move me emotionally I find I enjoy that anime 110% more. Well, I guess onto my list of anime that made me teary eyed.
Teary eyed sad: Blood+ Blue Gender Chrono Crusade Cowboy Bebop Elfen Lied Fate/stay night GANTZ Gungrave Utawarerumono Sora Teary eyed happy: Busou Renkin Blue Gender Full Metal Panic! Fullmetal Alchemist Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Please Teacher Vandread Now before you go, "holy shit thats a lot of anime!", that is only shows that hit me, shows that made me cry are as follow: Chrono Crusade Fate/stay night Gungrave Other than anime, the only thing that can still make me cry is war movies and war documentaries. |
Re: Anime that made you cry....
The only anime I have cried was Mai-Hime and Jin-Roh .
