I agree on Elfen lied Glad you said that on AIR. It wont mean much here but so many people never watched AIR because its not as well known as Clannad or so but yet its really great, very sad but i love when i see a AIR fan :D oh oh and thankyou, wether intention or not, you have just indirectly recommended that anime to me :P Despite sad anime's can put me in a sad mood i really do like them, im no some weirdo who likes being sad, i like the theme of the reality in them... that and the abnormality in the fact most things choose a happy end over a sad one. So thanks, i will get watching that next ;) |

I LOVE AIR! :D It's my second favorite anime of all time. Glad to see another AIR fan too! AIR was actually the first Key anime I ever saw. I've seen Clannad and am currently watching the After Story and I've seen Angel Beats! but I didn't like either of them. D: Clannad felt like a school drama and, while I appreciated all of the video game references in Angel Beats!, the characters didn't hit home with me. I've heard After Story is great, and Kanon, though.
Oh no! I always get really nervous when people watch Now and Then, Here and There because it is my favorite anime of all time and affected me in a really weird way. That anime was life changing for me, so I'm afraid people won't like it! I'm all nervous now. You have to tell me when you finish it and if you liked it and why/why not you did/didn't because you're the first person to watch it. I wish it were more well known, and then again I don't. Haha. A contradiction?

Not completely anime related, but I shed a tear reading the last Toradora! light novel. It was much sadder than the anime even though I cried more during the anime.

Boy, a lot of anime brought me to tears, but...
Clannad: The first anime to have me cry. So sad, so emotional. ;; Ano Hana: Oh boy. This was one wild ride of tears. There was not like one episode except for the first few that didn't have me crying. PMMM: Dark anime, to say the least. I cried numerous times because the anime made me "feel" the characters. Steins;Gate: This anime had it's own share of sadness. Especially character's despair. Angel Beats: Same as PMMM, you feel very connected with the characters.

With Ano Hana I got the feeling that the producers didn't trust us, the audience, to feel the emotions in the show and more or less told us when to cry and when it was an emotional moment. It was a bit overdone. It was at great show yes, but when you stop and start to think about the production in the middle of the most emotional scenes something is wrong. :)
