Anime that you don't understand why people like

The story was as far from from exciting as i can possibly see. A bunch of boring bullshit on a train, and some more boring bullshit off the train. I didn't see a deep character anywhere in this show. I can sum some of them up in one sentence. Firo: Some dude, Jacuzzi: Annoying crybaby, immortal kid whose name i can't spell: Creepy kid. Isaac and Miria: Slights against god. Chane: Mute bitch with a knife. Ennis: Some chick. I could go on, but i won't. And Isaac and Miria had NO important task in this show, other than produce a feeling of rage in myself like I've never felt, and ruin what could have been a decent show. Without them? This might have gotten a 3 out of me. And i will never stop hating on them. So suck on that.

Full Metal Panic! and Hell Girl, there's a lot of anime I can't stand, but those are probably the only two I can't fathom why they're popular.

I have to agree with you to some extent. A lot of the characters I found were underdeveloped in most aspects, and I do concur that Isaac and Miria were for the most part pointless (doesn't help that I never found them in the slightest bit funny), however, story-wise I can appreciate their part in the overall history being told, and I have to disagree with your summation of the plot. I found Baccano to be initially confusing, but ultimately incredibly gripping. It had me rewatching it almost straight away, which is something I have not done since I first saw the second season of Bleach (one of my first anime- Baccano is one of my most recent, and I have been watching for about a year and a half now). Every time I rewatch this series, I discover something new within it that I missed before, a little detail I overlooked which makes the story all the more rewarding as a result. For me, Baccano is a bottomless treasure chest of new tidbits, which is why it earned itself a place in my list of favourite anime series.

On a different note- I have never been able to understand why so many people love mecha anime. Big robots that fight, I just can't see the appeal. How do you create something new and different with that which isn't just robots smashing each other to pieces?
Oh, and please don't interpret that as hate- if someone has an explanation and suggestions, I'm more than willing to listen.

Well it seems you can't go any deeper than "bullshit bullshit bullshit", so quite frankly, you are in no way showing how it is supposed to be oh so bad.

I know I've -kind of- ranted about this anime before, but Kuroshitsuji. What is so great about this anime? What am I missing. The music is nice, sure, but what else?
The characters are bland, and some even verge on offensive, it's supposed to have a historical setting, but then they bring in things like film which shouldn't exist as that point.

Oh, and the comedy almost never works. I've said Grell isn't funny before, but I'll say it again. He's annoying. Or, suddenly, Sebastian will run in wearing a moose head. Oh, was that supposed to be funny? My bad.

Kuro isn't my least favorite anime; Madoka magica is, but I can understand why people like Madoka. Here, not so much.

I've had people tell me it's the dark undertones, but I don't see that. Every time the series tries to be dark, they throw in some random BS which screws it all up.

Any character, no matter how deep, can be ''described'' even if you reduct them to their most immediate traits.
