Anime that you don't understand why people like

I don't understand why people like "The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi". Seriously. I hated it just after 5 minutes... but I watched all the episodes because I didn't want to judge it too soon. To me this anime is a piece of craaaap.

"Lucky Star". Hated it.

I'm sure there are many more... but these are the ones that come to mind.

purple mentioned how it was dangerous to insult AzuDai, and I just wanted to mention that this is the EXTREMELY rare case that I question a lot of people. See, I have that amazing ability to like things that are mainstream as well as oddball stuff because I'm less of a douche than some people are XD (no offense) however, I never understood the fascination with AzuDai. It's extremely repetitive for one, the characters are all gimmicky (not necessarily a bad thing though) and it reuses the same situations over and over. Yes, the show lends itself to those things as part of the story, but that doesn't stop it from being affective. I dunno, I never cared about it that much. Maybe the anime has something special the manga lacks?

i want to add that if you hate Haruhi, you just have no taste >_>

If you really want to have fun with that, you need to go to IRC. Ditto to XHunter with Haruhi and Lucky Star.

I rarely agree with you on anything, but this time I've got to admit that I feel the same about Azumanga. The fact that they made the exact same episodes 3 times each kinda killed all the fun for me.

I also thought that Lucky star was a carbon copy of AD, but with funnier as a whole. Still, in my book Lucky Star is one of the most over rated show ever made. Shiraishi Minoru saved the show a lot of times ;)
