Yeah, that's a great scene. The entire last arc was pretty Rock/Revy focused, which I loved.

I'd really like to see something more develop between them, but not any bubbly romance shit. I'm glad they didn't force anything as far as that goes, because it would have just been way out of place. You can see they kinda went down that path on the last episode with the other nun/CIA (I forget her name) teasing Revy about whether she slept with Rock.

Frankly, I just love watching them talk about themselves, which is one of the reasons why I love the last arc so much, that's where a ton of character development for the two come in.

I guess you have a point, Rock wasnt used to all that stuff and so I take back what I said about him being a pussy.
He did have the chance to go back to his world and he chose not to. I also agree about the part with the yakuza beating him up.

I guess maybe he balanced out Revy. He is rational and Revy gets a little crazy about killing people, so they used Rock to balance that out a little.
I am also glad that they didnt do any romantic bubbly stuff with them either. It would have been too much and Revy isnt like that. I do like that her nun friend makes fun of her at the end, that was pretty good.

Last Exile

This show was too focused on its cast interactions. Went it went all epic, I loved it, but when it was all introspective it bored me a touch. Still, I enjoyed it immensely. If the whole thing was like the last 6 episodes, It'd be a 5/5 effort for me, but still 4/5 for enjoyment. Not sure about quality.

Amazing Nuts!

Loooved it. A small compilation of four music videos accompanied with stunning graphics as nutty (ha!) as we know them from Studio 4C. Even though the last of the four was a bit of a letdown, the first two were really good, and the third even better. Thanks for the rec, KiraRin!

Lingerie Senshi Papillon Rose

And once again I had to readjust my quality-bar... Right when I thought shows like Juuden-Chan and Training with Hinako set my bar to a new all-time low, this came along... With a script pretty much WORSE than your average hentai, having a final scene where a guy is genuinely enjoying getting blown by a cat (not a catgirl, a cat) and being as borderline to hentai as it gets, this anime was terrible beyond words. "Thanks" for the rec, KiraRin

Well it was top notch animation, CG machine and a guest character designer when it came out, so I think your spot on with the quality factor... now if you mean was it top notch story telling, that might be a different matter. I liked it enough to buy it a while back
=) Killer AMV for it (spoilerish)--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocEnFAVz2_Q

I may have to pour bleach in my eyes, because some things just can't be unseen. I should've listened. Should've stayed away. It's like the man in the unmarked van who gives candy to small children at night r-18. It's alluring at first but then it traumatizes you in ways no human being should be subjected to.

Spoiler made for lenghty text, not actual spoilers.

Perfect Blue
Story 7.5/10 (7.75)
The basic story itself isn't all that original, but the way it's presented is fucking awesome! It reminds of a David Lynch movie, but actually making sense in the end or of something from Hitchcock, but with an actual decent ending. Now, I'm not sure if I really got the ending.
I think it just ended regularly, but it kinda seemed like there was another person sitting in the car seat at the end than the person appearing the mirror. Now that wouldn't serve any purpose except adding some unnecessary mindfuck to the movie. But maybe it actually is like a David Lynch picture and actually does that. But besides that (or with that, depending on how you wanna view the thing),
the movie worked out great. I mean, it's not something incredible, but it is a great thriller. One of the best of it's kind. And what makes it even better is that there are so few titles like this in the anime world. The only one I can think of right now is Monster actually. Now, I know that Monster's plot is very different, but I was basicly just thinking of the kind of atmosphere this title has. And while Monster is great, I think this is even better.

Sound: 8/10
The sound, while it was good, wasn't anything to raise your hats to in itself. But it was used soooooo great. It really added to the creepy feeling. The voice actors did an awesome job here. There wasn't any voice I particularly fell for, which actually made it kind of better since they acted so damn great.

Animation: 6/10
The animation wasn't good for being a movie, even if the director (I get it that some people hate me mentioning the director) did use it very wisely throughout the movie, which makes it still get an upper-avarage from me.

Characters: 8/10
The character start of at being decent but as they decend into the spiral of confusion and insanity, they all grow. We get to see the depravity of each leading and supporting characters. Most anime tries to bring out to good in every character, even the villains, but show just brings the characters deeper into it's spiral to insanity, and I love it. Although I've seen characters done way better in anime movies. Tokyo Godfathers (another Satoshi Kon title) instantly comes to mind, where the character are made and developed a bit better. Also
while the villains worked great, they had some pretty lame reasons when you actually think about it.

Overall 8/10 (8.25)
it constantly made me feel creepy, hell, ven scared most of the time. But it also made me feel depressed, which is something hate to feel when I watch something. I like sad and bittersweet things, but I have a hard time stomaching deepressing things, which is why it doesn't get over 8/10 (8.25 if I would vote like that.)

Definitely recommeneded for everyone.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, I got kinda sick of writing those long reviews of some shows. So I'll just go on with shorter reviews of some shows from now on.

Kakurenbo

It started off great,. just the kind of thing I like. but the monsters we're lame and so was the ending. They could've proabably made this into a great little horror title, but it jsut remains as a sad little kiddie-horror show. it didn't help that I disliked the animation either. The sound was alright, even though they used too many completely silent parts. The voice acting was great however, but that's soooooooooooo not enough to hold up a title.

...I have to be honest, I'm kinda drunk right now which is why the review could be a bit crappy written.
