I guess I could do that too. I've finished Rosario to Vampire today, and:

Quote:
...meh.... I loved the first couple of episodes, when they introduced every character in its own way, but those last 5-6 episodes were a total pain to go through...

I loved the colors, loved some of the characters (especially Moka and Mizore), but goddamn they screwed up every time they tried to get a little more serious. God that final episode couldn't have been more anti-climatic, the super-bad-vilain of the whole show was introduced in the second-to-last episode, right? wtf...

And if anyone has a link to any form of "confirmation" of a second season, I'd appreciate if you could pm it to me or just post it here, because I couldn't find any.

my score : 69%
Episode by episode rating:

**straight from the specifid anime section.

well, purplemo, you are THE first person who's opinion means anything to me that didn't drop S2 within 2 episodes, so maybe I'll at least try to get through ep 1 (seriously, I watched about 1 minute before deleting it.)

Aren't I like the only one? It sure feels like it. :p

I think everyone just got on the high horse saying "Oh it's so different looking and it's different people working on it so it must suck" to actually watch it for what it is, like the Air Movie, YUA: Full Throttle, or Minami-ke Okawari. What people don't realize is this GSG is actually under the direct supervision and writing of Yu Aida, the mangaka. In any other case everyone would be humping the show just for that fact.

But everyone knows that. The virdict reached before the show started was that it could be better but that the mangaka have done that before to poor results. Anyway, S2's art wasn't the only thing that bothered me, the convo in the store at the beginning just felt really awkward, well really everything did. And there was a supreme lack of The Delgados >_>

...you really ought to hang out here where there are other major anime people, purple.

Just finished Shigofumi as well.

At the beginning episodes it was one of the best series I've seen, but then came a few much worse episodes which brought down the whole series big time since these episodes are the "main story". Only one episode that was about the main story was any good imo and that's not enough in such a short series.

But most episodes that werent about the main story absolutely spectacular at least. I'm not quite sure wether to give it a 7.5 or an 8, but because of the outstanding episodes it'll get an 8/10 from me.

If it would've continued as awesome as it did in the beginning episodes it would've probably been one of my few 9.5 series.

I inadvertently ended up watching yet another high school harem (HSH):

Seto no Hanayome

And to be completely honest, I had a lot of fun with this one. Was kinda like The Little Mermaid meets Ai Yori Yoshi meets The Godfather ;p I laughed at so many parts of this story, and in so many different ways... this anime had no end of self-deprecation and all around humor that it was impossible not to laugh. Of course, many of the characters were just canned plot devices... few if any had much originality but that's not why one watches a HSH. We watch them for the fun and enjoyment of unrealistic or overly exaggerated situations... well maybe that's just me. ;)

Either way, the artwork was good, the music was a bit canned, the story was obviously over used, but in the end this was a fun anime to be enjoyed by anyone that likes the genre or even those new to it.

the mermaids reaction to cats was absolutely drop dead funny
