Yeah, but by ranting about it, she makes it so tantalising... *urge to watch Monkey Punch... growing... growing...*

By the way, should we have a new 'What I just finished watching' thread? This is already the second one. Lol.

This Watched Yotsunoha because it had such an "appealing" rant, severely regretted it :P

Ponyo 4/5

Just got out of an advanced screening of Ponyo. I loved it, and recommend any Miyazaki fan to go see it. Some early reviewers were complaining that its too much of a kids movie. So what? My Neighbor Totoro is beloved by millions, yet its a kids flick. Just enjoy it for what it is. Everyone in the audience was laughing and enjoying the film, and everyone in that audience was an adult. Also have to say that this flick has some of the most imaginative visuals among his movies. The ocean life was really detailed, and quite unique. The dub was really good too, although there were a few weird parts with the timing, but otherwise Disney did a fantastic job.

I've downloaded it a while ago, but I've yet to have seen it. I don't see why people would complain about it being a kid's movie. Why wouldn't Miyazaki be aloud to make movies that he wants? These reviewers need to be less selfish, and let everyone have a chance to have a Miyazaki made for their age group. The older age group got Princess Monoke, so they shouldn't be complaining

End of The World
Every thing was happening so fast. I was slightly lost, but everything was strait forward. It was only 10 minutes long, so it is to be expected.

Comedy
It was cool, interesting, had a nice style. I like how it left the end for the the viewer to interpret. It was only 10 minutes long too, so I really don't have much to say about it. I had a really hard time looking for this. Searching "comedy" would of course return with movies in the comedy drama. Luckily I found out that it was part of a DVD. Searching the DVD's title made it easier.

Mushishi

One of the best Spirit-themed anime I've ever watched.

Welcome to the NHK!

I enjoyed the manga (I should fill that in some day...) and watching things move was cool. I especially liked the art, but what was up with the first half of episode 19? Dear god that was terrible animation. That aside, NHK was very good by my low standards for anime, which makes it just good by most peoples' standards. I especially enjoyed the music, must get those Welcome to the Sunny Side! soon to complement my copy of Welcome to the Dark Side! I recieved as a gift.

no Welcome to NHK is AMAZING, ur standards are simply warped to say it is only 'very good' Mr Thistledown :p

Finished Eden of the East... don't really want to comment on this, as i want to watch the movies... which unfortuantely will take a billion years, to not only be made, but to also to be released to dvd and translated :(, though i'd say it went from Brilliant, to Very Good towards the end, as the resolution felt a bit convinient... which is why im hoping for the movie... and i want Saki and Akira to kissu!

Also watched both Goku: Midnight Eye ovas... aside from a completely stilted voice acting male lead... it was a rather amusing bunch of ovas.... i dont know if it is meant to actually be serious, but it ends up being hilarious with some of the dialogue...
Goku also seems to be one of the dumbest person in the world... or just likes to be a bit flashier in his actions....

i wouldnt necesarrily recommend watching those ovas that much, but they're watchable enough,

however i must state the awesomeness of Goku: Midnight Eye as cmon naked chick with motorbike handles on her back?! AND who shoots laser beams from her mouth? That, my friends, is pure win.
