Just finished up Ef - A Tale of Memories. Not great art, but pretty to look at (has lots of Makoto Shinkai feel). I'd rate it as the best bishoujo-game-based show I've yet seen, with Shuffle coming in second.
That said, can we have more shows with plots that didn't come out of videogames please? |

As for plots out of hgames, they sell. With the fan following behind Air, Kanon, Clannad, Da Capo, Shuffle, KGNE, Memories Off, and whatever else I forgot, it's no big surprise they keep getting pumped out. I'm willing to bet after Clannad, Little Busters! or a remake of One is in store. (I wish they would do Planetarian or Moon instead but that wouldn't satisfy the Key fanboys looking for melodrama moe ). Why not pump the cash cow for all its worth when the fanboys just want more and more of the same?(If you can't tell, I've been long sick of these kind of shows) |

Sometimes its actually great living in Europe since most of those games dont come out here, all these anime are new to me. In fact mostly I didnt even know they originate from a game.

Just finished Dennou Coil, and I must say I enjoyed it from start to finish. Mystery series are some of my favorites, and this is definitely one of the best I've seen; intricate, unpredictable and generally interesting. There was a slight confusion factor, but that's to be expected with a series like this. Overall, think maybe a cross between .hack, Lain and Haibane Renmei, with some Miyazaki flavoring ^_^ Easy 10/10, easy top 5.

I'm watching Dennou Coil right now and am enjoying it as well. As far as the first few episodes go, the closest analogue I can come up with is Kamichu + intarweb. So long as they're not expecting a particularly riveting plot, I think a lot of people will enjoy it.

Finished Sky Girls TV a little bit earlier....the final episode finally came out. I enjoyed the anime, so if anyone enjoys the same types of anime as me would probably like it as well. ^_^

Just finished Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It was extremely awesome.
(Not much of a plot spoiler, but might ruin a "What the heck, that's insane. Holy crap!"-moment). |
