just wathed elemental galade/erementar garade
This was surprisingly very good. at first i thought was going to be another cheesy anime, but i was wrong, this was very enjoyable. The story had enough depth to keep me wanting to watch the next episode, and had some nice twist as well. i can't really judge the art because i was watching pretty bad quality files (3gp :( ) but i can tell it still wouldn't have been that much of a break through, Soundtrack was pretty good too, love the techno-ish OP and the adventurous background music that is played through out. It's really the music that keeps me on the edge of my seat. what i like most about these stories is the character development, and this show did an ok job growing the main characters , little by little they grow through each episode and by end we see the results of course this is no FMA but its still worth the watch |

Just finished Shingetsutan Tsukihime, has probably one of the saddest endings i've ever seen in this anime, i was immersed from about episode 2 after the confusing first episode was cleared up, from then on this anime grew on me.
Yes things could have been explained better and in my opinion it should have been longer, but i really did enjoy this anime. The dark, mysterious feel to this worked really well and it was built up quite nicely. Also to note, this anime has possibly one of my favorite romances in it to date. All in all i'd give this a 4.5/5, I really really enjoyed this. |

ef - A Tale of Melodies
I wept like an alcoholic at an AA meeting. Very good, despite the total mess that was episodes 5 and 6 and the ever-infuriating existence of Chihiro. |

Earth Girl Arjuna
Very meh. i think it tried to be too deep when it really wasn't. tried to make people feel bad about the earth and the way we do thing. one big morals anime really. i wonder what Deus ex Digital Boy would say about that.

GoShogun: The Time Etranger
I'm reminded of Makoto Shinkai's films after seeing this. That is, for a movie that's so well regarded... it isn't terribly good. To be fair, GoShogun's faults are more in execution than concept; there's a pretty interesting idea for a movie here buried under terrible 80s pop and cheesy designs. A really cool idea, a headtrip of characterisation and identity and death and life and never giving up and also there's some utterly wonderfully surreal dream/memory stuff. I can honestly say that I think this would have been a more emotional experience with better production values; I don't think I could say that for any other anime. And ugh, that music - I'm not averse to that sort of thing, really, but I've had much better. The original trilogy of Gundam compilation movies come to mind, they knew well enough to use decent music and were smart enough to know when to put it in, GoShogun lacks either subtle touch. An effectively handled emotional moment or two makes this not a total waste, but it's not something I'd particularly recommend either. |

Just watched Kameko DX. LOL at this comedy anime! It's funnier than Minami-ke imo. |
