The world only god knows season 1

...I think the main character just died of game induced malnourishment.
like that guy in korea, or WoW addicts....

well, not really since there's a second season. but fuck it I like my ending better

3.5/5
the show had it's moments and brought a neat twist on some tired tropes but is it some kind of masterpiece? nah. Good time waster though

ef - a tale of memories
This is the first Romance Anime i watched (not including Comedy/Romance Fantasy/Romance or simillar). I was reluctant to start an anime of that genre as i believed that the romance genre uses corny lines, cheesy tearjerkers and overreacting characters (based on my experience with romance and anime in general)
This anime ended my theory.
Ef has a refreshingly original story (or rather two of them). It doesn't fall in any pitfalls, it doesn't compromise its story with crowd-pleasing devices and it doesn't lose its direction at any point.
The characters, while not really captivating by themselves, provide enough background and emotion to the story to make you sympathize with them.
The animation was perfect, as expected of Shaft.
9/10

I'll consider watching the sequel some time, and perhaps even more Romance anime in the future. However for the time i will return to the Mecha, Seinen and Thriller genres for a while.

Ben-To

This anime could have been great. It could have been absolutely hilarious. The entire "bento brawling" is so ridiculous that I could easily have laughed myself to tears of they would have made it over-the-top silly like Gintama or HSDK for instance. But they didn't. The entire premise is wasted on the half-assed "ecchi harem comedy" style they went for instead.

To be fair, it's not a terrible anime. I didn't really dislike it, and it did make me chuckle every now and then. But that's it.

5/10

I think it's awesome that more people are watching this. It really is an amazing series - not because of it's love story (although that's good), but because the overall production is nothing short of masterful. Everything has such passion and intensity.

Vampire Knight

Wish I could bleach my brain. That was the most annoying and irritating thing I have seen in a while. Probably I hated everything about it. The more I think of it the more angry it makes me. Let's hope I will sit through the second season without making my laptop fly across the room.

I wish this never had happened. Charters were awful, pacing was off, drama pissed me off and supposed comedy was unfunny. Horrible.

Another

Now this is something I enjoyed. I admit that the gory part of the anime didn't impress me, because I am not a fan of that kind of horror, but I am thankful everything else made up for it. Atmosphere was great, suspense was there and honestly it creeped me out. And Mei is just plain adorable.

Birdy the Mighty OVA

It was an ok OVA, typical 90's stuff. It had decent animation, some weird music choices for fight scenes, a forgettable villain and felt a bit rushed. I didn't expect too much out of this, anyway. I have high hopes for the show, though.

Shiba Inuko-san [link]

In my opinion;
If you value having a personality please do not watch this. Seriously, the first opening is atrocious the second opening is bad and in the end they use the first opening to close of the series. The remaining content isn't above average and as such makes the opening's awfulness even less redeemable. The story relolves around a inuko-like student or and inuko dog attending college which is the only vehicle for jokes in this entire series. Episodes are short and the openings are long. The animation is largely limited due to budget restraints and the voices are average. The humour is rather repetitive overall but not the worst i've ever seen by a long shot.

1.5/5

The original OVA isn't part of the Birdy the Mighty group anymore, since it's not connected to the series. So I thought I'd watch it now for the sake of completion and be done with it :P
