Geass vs Death Note

Basically, as I get deeper into Death Note (and I've already been spoiled by numerous friends, so I know the ending), I keep wondering, based on the their distinct similarities-

Who would win in a game of wits, where the loser gets killed by the winner?

Yagami Light (a.k.a. Kira) or Lelouch Lamperouge (a.k.a. Zero)?

Each has a distinct advantage over the other- the Geass is a hell of lot more convenient and versatile than the Death Note, but the Geass is a one shot only weapon (though, technically so is the Death Note *snorts*) that needs to be used face to face.

Bringing Misa and the Shinigami for Light and the Black Knights and C.C. for Lelouch is allowed. I'm not sure if using Knightmares would be fair (admittedly giant robots is a distinct advantage, but Light could always trick them into identifying themselves and then force one to kill the others before themselves via Death Note).

Zero's only disadvantage towards Light is he has to open his mask to use the guease and Misa can tell light his name or just write it in the Death Note. As far a the knights go would be interesting what Light could pick up to fight them. Thats imo

Of course Lelouch would win.
Let's say Lelouch suspects Light of being Kira.
All he has to do is give Kira a simple command. "Hand over the death note to me."

How would he know?

Though true, if Lelouch found Light all he would need to do is ask him "Are you Kira", and then have him kill himself or something.

Of course, if Light found out who Lelouch was first all he needs to do is write the name down.

But then again, Lelouch Lamperouge is NOT the name Lelouch was born with. Double advantage.

However, one distinct advantage Light has is that he's a pure sociopath. Nothing will stop him.

Lelouch has Nunnally- he will do ANYTHING to protect her, even surrender victory. If Light finds Nunnally, he could threaten Lelouch with her, saying "If I die, then she dies too" (ask Misa or someone to write the name down in the event of his death).

Well I figured Lelouch is a pretty smart guy(Should be around the same level as L). Sooooo using my uuber deduction skills Lelouch has the advantage since he's able to use Geass to question people while even if Kira suspects Lelouch of being L he wont have a method as easy as Geass to make sure.

i've only seen DN, but this makes me want to go watch CodeGeass next. it seems very cool, but i've heard a lot of people poo-poo it.

It's rated 9.1 overall on animenfo so I dunno about a lot of people pooing it. Just the minority people that hate it always seems louder then the majority. Kind of like how I hate air tv so it makes it seem like a thousand people hate air tv.

Lelouch would win because, as someone said, his powers are more versatile. Not to mention Lelouch can use his Geass on Light without ever once removing his mask and showing the entirety of his face. Although, I don't think he'd kill Light. Whoever defeated the other, they'd realise they share a hobby and join forces to form the Supreme Dream Team!

PS. I am so glad this thread was not what I thought it was - namely a direct comparison between the two. I would have spent days agonising over my choice, probably had a heart attack, and then not come up with an answer.

well i think light would hes to smart and to tricky for Lelouch , and if light would make the deal dor shinigami eyes he would be unstopable and lelouch hes has only 1 shot weapon and hes to arogant ... so thumbs up for Light (a.k.a Kira )
