Love Hina Christmas Special. Probably. Haven't seen it, actually :)
Ai Yori Aoshi special (or was it for Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi?) It'd be cool if anyone actually has episode numbers for the christmas episodes in various anime. I know Mahoromatic S2 has one, almost sure about Maison Ikkoku, and there's probably dozens of others, but I'll be damned if I remember which episode. |

majority of harems have a xmas episode that follows the same formula.. girl likes gift.. guy's broke. guy finds part time job, works his ass off, gets girls her gift.

Tokyo Godfathers is by far the best Christmas anime/anime episode I've seen. Chrno Crusade's Christmas episode was pretty good too (it wasn't the overused formula melon-juice mentioned of poor loser male getting a job to buy gift for girl). Though there were elements of it here and there.
Winter Garden (?) was a pretty good Christmas OVA series too. It reimagines the Digicharat girls grown up and normal (not psychotic like in the other series). Basically, slice o'life between two sisters. Honey and Clover has a good Christmas gathering. Heck, it's fun whenever they all gather. That's pretty much all I can remember right now outside of the glut of harem Christmas stories that are all the same. Tokyo Godfathers though is a must watch, especially for greedy whiners who complain they didn't get some overtly expensive thing for Christmas. |
