Default Anime Monogamy

am i the only one that can only watch one anime at a time? mainly b/c, being new to anime, 98% of everything i watch has been completed. but its kinda annoying, when your in the middle of an anime and you pile up more anime to watch but don't end up getting to the list till you finish the one your on, but once thats over with, I'm like a kid in a candy store.

i do have a few that i wait for such as bleach and a few that I'm currently waiting for the next season to finish or start AND finish like:
Clannad
Shakugan No Shana season2
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion season2

normally any anime that i cant have a monogamous relationship with i tend to drop lol. polygamy is for animes with "loose" story lines. anybody else feel this way? definitely wanna hear from those of you who at "watching" 14 different animes

I usually have a few up at a time, but if something is completed and its really good I watch it exclusively until its done.

I used to be 'monogamous' back when I didn't know much and had a lot of whole shows and time to watch. Now, I've very little time to watch so usually when I watch I just have time for one ep, and it's usually what I'm in the mood for even if there's another show I'm more interested in. For example, after a 14 hour day studying pharm and path, I don't really care for a show that makes you think too much. I'd rather watch a simple show.

Because I download all of my anime I make a point of watching it all. I don't believe in wastage. Seeing as I justified the download quota to download it in the first place I figure that I may as well spend the time to watch it even if I don't find it that great.

However, I haven't happened across an anime which wasn't worth the download quota yet and I read a lot of reviews to make sure that what I do download isn't an utter waste of space.

Anything I get from LANs or from friends I consider to be on the "watch when I've finished watching my downloaded anime for the month" list and any series that I buy on DVD I consider to be on the "watch at least once a year" list.

EDIT: I just realised I didn't answer your question. Yes, I don't like watching multiple animes simultaneously. I prefer to spend my time watching just one; however, because in most circumstances what I'm watching is at least moderately interesting, I don't encounter that problem much.

I generally try to watch one series at a time, but also keep up with a few current shows in between. I find most series are better when watched in full over a short time rather than one ep a week, but the latter can still be enjoyable provided I don't take on too many at once.

so most people are monogamous just like me, with the exception of purplemo who must be in a 46 credit hour semester, or is just finishing up some difficult classes. I'm only in my second year, so all my classes are simple, i study 2 hrs b4 the test and can make an A, with no school on Tuesday or Thursday, lol
but i agree with Cetonis in that its better to wait for the season to be finished with b4 you start a new season, b/c anime can be vary frustratingly slow sometimes and exciting another moment.

I graduated college in 3 years by cramming 4 into 3 and ALMOST got a double major (stupid final 3 credit class was full when I was there), then had two jobs as a researcher and nanny for a year and am now in medical school. That kinda ruins my anime free time since I like to have some semblance of a social life.

That's why, when people bitch, I feel like the guy in my sig.
