How do you watch your anime?

I actually had friends over a couple nights ago and we watched some anime, and surprisingly it went a lot better than I expected it to.

Previous experiences have been nothing more than a headache with friends talking loudly while watching and more or less paying attention, but this time everyone was relatively quiet while we watched and then discussed after each disc.

Twas' quite nice, so might have to start doing this more often now.

Lately I've been watching anime when I'm really tired and then falling asleep to it. My brain then drifts into the anime and sort of continues on until I wake up and realize I was back in reality. Curses...

That's good because I don't mind the company of naked people.

I usually watch it on my laptop, with Media Player Classic (great quality feedback), a mug of black coffee and sometimes doing some writing if I turn the dubs on (and can stand them).

I've been watching anime commuting to class each week, and the good thing is it helps pass time really fast, the bad is the occasional weirdo that sits next to me and asks me if I'm watching cartoons.

Usually by myself, with a glass of wine and a bowl'o'nuts, splayed on the couch with my earbuds plugged into my laptop... while my partner sits on the recliner next to me and looks politely mystified as to how I can watch 'cartoons' for hours at a time.

I only really watch anime with one other person, because we both shut the hell up and enjoy and then chat about it between episodes.

The majority of the time I watch by myself though on the few occasions I've watched with other people it's been fun.

Heh, there used to be a guy like that who would come in to my college's anime club. The strange old guy who's like 40 years older than the rest of the club members and fortunately sat in the very back because he apparently didn't bathe.
