As you may or may not know, Adult Swim, for their April Fool's day joke, did this:

THANKS ADULT SWIM (TOONAMI) Tweet #BringBackToonami - YouTube

Started the opening of The Room, as per their usual April Fools joke, but pulled a bait and switch a pulled in Tom and the rest of Toonami for the night, playing beloved anime.

So here comes today. Adult Swim's twitter made a tweet that looks to give hope to the Toonami Faithful.

Dude, people have been doing this "Bring Toonami back" stuff since the day it was cancelled. It's gone. And it's not coming back.

Like r-18 said its money, but i am happy that its gone im a big fan of Raw anime. dubbed anime shows no emotion from anyone other than the Japanese. Plus they also have to amercanize it so we can relate to it, take out episodes they dont feel are necessary like they did in Outlaw Star...

Those days are waaaaaaaaaaaaay over my friend, dubbed anime has gotten alot better and if Toonami does come back, they've got a whole back-log of dubbed anime they can still show on television with little edit for violence

It seems like the Adult Swim block is the one that's shown the possibility of bringing it back, meaning very little edits aside from explicit language and nudity. And I mean, the April Fools joke may have actually started something to make them consider giving it a timeframe. I'd be fine with Toonami taking over the Saturday night anime block.

Either that or they're just dangling the possibility in front of us with no intent whatsoever. But it was April 2 when they made that tweet so...

Possibly. But even so, the hope is nice. Their original tweet has been retweeted over 12k times and #BringBackToonami was trending for a while. So the love for Toonami is still strong. Maybe they'll consider it.
