Not much else can be said without answers to those. However, there's a couple I have that don't play well on my DVD player & computer. They're older FUNimation DVDs, when they use to do funky encoding with angles (changing from JP & Eng logos, ep. titles, and credits). They haven't done that type of encode in a long time now though, however, the ones I have problems with are all the singles that I have from them: Hell Girl Fullmetal Alchemist (half season boxsets, which are just repackaging of the singles) Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid. Last edited by TheCoffeeGod; 01-01-2012 at 08:48 PM. |

While there are some companies that tend to have issues with their releases, they're the exception rather than the rule. Older/first pressing Bandai releases are notorious for coding errors, but they tend to be fixed and replaced for subsequent releases (for example, the first Gundam Wing disc couldn't play episode five, but later pressings don't have this problem). While there are several people here who have larger collections than I do, I have approximately 350 discs in my collection (a rough guess; I don't feel like sitting there and counting them all) and not one has given me any issues (save for the rare case of a physical damage). |

Bandai is probably the worst offender in this area. They've had major recalls at least twice that I'm aware of. I've also gotten defective discs from Funimation and Media Blasters. You can solve your problem by returning them to where you bought them for an exchange. You can also replace it by emailing the company via their website.

Never happened to me but I curse myself every day for having purchased a Region B Blu-Ray Player in stead of a region-free one. Now my options for HD Anime are horribly limited,
