I played it at a friend of mine for a few minutes.. can't really tell whether it's as special as you make it seem, maybe I should poke him and ask if we can play some more xD
It was good though and I really like the storyline and the way it works. The gameplay is cool too :D |

Though I kinda fear that they'll try to "play it safe" and keep future stories in Dunwall. |

yea, but in this game it already plays the two possible outcomes being: the rise and fall of the dunwall empire. What could be greater than that to base the new game on? Any new bad guy's plan would be small-time compared to what we already played against.

I found the Spymaster to actually be a rather petty villain.
The non-lethal option was satisfying as hell, but I still didn't find him to be very grand. Instead, I really liked Daud as a villain, and would like more stuff like that in the future. Hell, future games could easily be set in the past lore, for example. Sequels don't need the overarching setting to be more grand and big than the previous. I'd say the setting in AC1 was way grander than in AC2, but AC2 is the superior game without any doubt. |

I found his pettiness and very normal lust for power to be a very real and human aspect incorporated in this game.
Aside from that - on the topic of other series of this franchise, I remembered that in one excerpt about the royal protectors it said that on few occasions the rp was a woman. As you mentioned that the next game could be based in the past of the current one, why not make it on the story behind the best or first female rp? Naturally you would be a woman in the game, but whatever - that's fine by me. Either that or one with Corvo still as the protagonist but his younger days that brought him to meet the queen and then becoming royal protector |
