I played a bit of my roommate's PC version of it back around release. But I haven't bought it, I've lost interest in paying money to play FPS games that focus on Multiplayer.
I admit BF3 is a great game. Just not something I would probably get my money's worth out of in comparison to other games. The new DLC that just came out is sweet though. A great set of maps. |

I used to play on 360, but my XBL ran up. I really don't have a desire to get back on. Maybe, if they have another deal for a month of XBL for $1. That's how I've been doing it for a while now. So I had six months of XBL for $6.
I played assault. |

Since I'm deployed in Afghanistan, I haven't been able to play online much but when I was in the states around release and on RnR in April, I played it religiously.
The play the PC version and strictly the 58-64 man maps. I normally play conquest and assault. It depends on the mood I'm in. My favorite kit to play is Support with Engineer in second. I prefer their weapons. I even use some of them in RL so the personal preference definitely makes me bias about them. Oddly enough, if I'm on an air map, my favorite vehicle to use is either the AWT (attack helicopter, acronym stands for Aerial Weapons Team), the SWT (Scout Weapons Team, which is the little bird), and the anti-aircraft vehicle. MOST favorite is definitely the anti-aircraft vehicle. On maps that don't really offer air but has vehicles none the less, it'd be the M-1 Abram. My favorite maps vary depending on game mode. If it's conquest, Caspian and Firestorm are favored. I didn't get to play the "Back to Karkand" expansion for very long but it was refreshing to play on a couple maps from BF2. That brought back some awesome fire fight memories. I'm super excited to get into "Armored Kill." I'm already a premium member and it's been released for us but due to me playing RL Battlefield over here in Afghanistan, I can't access it till early to mid October, when I'm due back into the states. Can't wait!

I used to play BF3 a lot of Xbox360, Progression - BBC GreG975spm - Battlelog / Battlefield 3. I grew tired of it though... I probably would still play if Dice wasn't doing so much shit with it. They're doing everything they can to get more players from CoD by creating a game with lots of "not-so-bf-like-maps", just hearing about the Close Quarters DLC pissed me off. The claymores were nerfed just to make them more suited for small maps, they don't care about the large scale ones it seems...
If my computer will be able to run PlanetSide 2 properly you'll see me playing that game instead. |
