Been playing Dance Dance Revolution since 1999, & I have to say this game is still pretty awesome.
You play using a "dancepad" (arcade style) You can also use a standard ps2 controller, or alternatively a keyboard. I use all 3 personally, but prefer a keyboard, as I play StepMania now (the PC emulator). Amyways, DDR is a rhythm based game where you pick from a variety of songs to play; the goal of the game being to press the corresponding arrows at the right moment as they rise up into the judgment area circled here: ![]() Use this thread to talk about your favorite game, high scores, favorite songs, or anything. I'll regularly be posting screenshots of some of my scores, starting with this one. |

Using a keyboard or a controller just doesn't feel right in this game, imo... using a dance mat makes it harsher but more rewarding. Mostly played when over at friends' places, so I fail at anything with a difficulty of over 3-4 feet, though. But damn, it feels good to make it to the end.

True the mat is the best, but their are alot of songs tailored just for they keyboard that are impossible to do on feet.

mmm, love playing DDR/stepmania/ITG I vastly prefer playing on a dancepad, but I'm far better at playing with keyboard, since it's easier and not as tiring xD
