Default Dota 2

Anyone in the Beta? If you're not and want to get in, just complete the survey on the Steam page for Dota 2 and in about a week or 2 you should get an e-mail saying you've been accepted. I'm in the Beta and I gotta say, it's super fun, can't wait for it to come out.

If you are in the Beta, what things do you like and/or dislike about it? I myself can't stand the fact that there is no surrender and that I can't change the size of the UI, other than that I think it's good. Maybe they'll change the 2 things I dislike and add them.

My favorite champions right now have to be Drow Ranger and Vengeful Spirit.

I wish I could enjoy DOTA and all of its incarnates. I played DOTA quite a lot, HoN a bunch in beta, and poked around in LoL, and I have to say that all three of those games eventually dredge up the worst kinds of people on the internet. They all eventually got to the point where I couldn't play it any more solely because of the community, and sadly I don't see that changing with DOTA 2 when it's actually released.

Yea, it's unfortunate that MOBA's really are getting the worst of all people. I used to think that FPS or at least CoD had the worst community ever, but I see I was wrong when I started playing LoL. Although I have to admit, I've had about 30 games in Dota 2 and I have only encountered 1 or 2 people that really are rude and angry constantly. The rest of the people have actually been nice even if someone is doing bad on their team. I hope it stays like this, one can dream anyway.

HoN was like that in beta. Once it got released thought, the floodgates opened and went downhill very quickly. As much as I wish that wouldn't happen to DOTA2, I can't see it not happening :(

I think it's because of the learning curve. People are still trying to learn to play all the champions and the best items and stuff so no one gets angry yet since everyone's the same right now. Once the game is out though and everyone knows what they're doing, sort of, I'm pretty sure there's gonna be some of more of the bad eggs. Although I just don't really mind them too much since the game is super fun and a lot of my friends are coming to Dota 2 with me, half of them are in the beta with me.

My goal right now in Dota 2 is to be able to beat the easy bot, they have whooped me and my friends so hard, the bots have to be the hardest part of this game right now.

I saw that they added a co-op bot thing, I'm assuming that they revved up the difficulty on them. As for the community, I think we just need to accept that the MOBA gaming community is the worst one out there, but I've played enough HoN that I'm no longer phased by it at this point.

I tend to play with friends 99% of the time, it's rare when I go solo.

As for the bots, so hard. The easy bots wipe the floor with you... or at least me and my friends, they're actually really good and that's only easy bots, they have medium, hard, and a difficulty above hard @.@

I've been able to beat the legendary bots with a friend, though I can see how you would have trouble. As soon as bots start playing bad they keep playing bad, but if they can get a good start it can be hard to beat them since they always rol together.
