Game Recommendation Thread I tried looking, but I couldn't find a website like A-P for games (Which would be a very good idea for anyone willing to make a website... Just Saying...), so I decided to make a thread for it. How this Thread Works: 1) Someone states what Games they would like to play more of, the game's genres, and what parts of the game they liked. 2) People Reply stating what games are similar, the game's genres, and why (Same kind of thing as Anime Recommendations); Please state whether it's a one or two-way recommendation. 3) I Edit this first post (if I remember/have the energy to) so that it states what games are recommended to which, the reason(s) why, the game's genres, and what consoles said games can be played on. 4) Someone looking for suggestions will look at this first post, and if they see none, they will ask; creating more recommendations. Now to start things off, I really got into a game called ArcaniA: Gothic 4, but it ended too soon... I plowed straight through it not even realizing I fought bosses (I honestly thought they were normal enemies because I plowed through them so easily) and I felt disappointed that it was over... I didn't mind that it was easy, because it was really fun, but when I got to the Final Boss, it just kinda ended out of nowhere; I was really hoping I was gonna fight a certain Dark God at the end (I don't think that counts as a spoiler.)... Does anyone know a good Action RPG like this (but maybe without the "suddenly ending" part...)?I have also been wanting to play TERA Online lately, but it's not out yet... so if you play the Korean Version of TERA, or know what the game basically is like; please give a recommendation for that as well. Both of these Games are Action RPGs. Game Recommendations: Last edited by Nihatclodra; 12-16-2011 at 12:05 AM. |

If you're computer runs Dragon Age 1,2 you really should try those.
Might try that Tera online but im not really into rpg games anymore. Anyway. Anyone who likes Final Fantasy will like The Last Remnant and Star Ocean too. You might also like Kingdom Hearts if you like any of those. I guess this is a recommendation. Probably will start to visit gamers club section more often :P |

Everyone I've talked to told me the second dragon age is very mediocre compared to the first. I've played the first a few times now and I have to say it is one of the best games I've played.
If you like Dragon Age, play call of duty black ops. (hehehehehehe) I'm joking but I think like with Anime, my tastes in games vary a lot. I love fighters, I've considered all too seriously a few times getting the $150 TE fight stick because of how awesome it'd be plus I used to be an arcade rat. Haven't actually dropped the cash for it yet, but I may still. I liked Resident Evil 5 a lot. Basically any co-op games I'm down for because it means I get to play with friends actually in the room. That's why my favorite series of games is Gears of War, even though I own a PS3 and not a 360. And yea, I'd basically give any game a try as long as it's not Hannah Montana or something.

![]() I agree and have said the same thing in the past that there needs to be a Video/Computer game equivalent to A-P. |

Haven't played the games the OP has, unfortunately, but whenever someone mentions the words "action RPG", must mention Odin Sphere. Gorgeous graphics, solid plot (that doesn't end suddenly) and the gameplay is pretty catchy with five different styles of fighting... at least outside a few really irritating enemies when it turns teeth-gnashingly hard.
As for the other side of recs, any recommendations for any visual novel/adventure-ish games? Recent examples of this would be the Ace Attorney series, Hotel Dusk and Ghost Trick. Basically, story, plot, characters, dialogue and strategically placed items to advance. |

Oooh, oooh. Demon's Souls....
... well, if you've got a ps3. My suggestion to people bored of current games and looking for some good stuff to play is to buy an old PS2 or Gamecube and stock up on cheap used games. There is a metric asston of awesome games on those systems and I highly doubt most anyone has played even half.

idk if you mean for online games to be here but .....dungeons and dragons online is very good ...a lot of onling rpg's have you go to this or that place and deal with a hoard of the same monsters till you get some token the you go to another one .....d&d is not like that you get quests that have you go to crypts or what ever much like the elder scrolls games....well sort of .....ish but very good game play none the less.....
