[request] Site RPG feature

This would be just a "for fun" feature, much like the life on anime meter, but I think it could give a lot of character & life to the site.
The basic premise would be like this: Each tag on the site would be given a value for one or more traditional RPG stats (ie, "fighting" would boost the user's strength stat, "comedy" and "romance" would increase charisma, "seinen" and "josei" would increase wisdom, "science" would increase intelliect, etc). Multiple tags might affect the same stat, but to different degrees (comedy might give 1 charisma point, while romance gives 2 points for example). Some tags might even have negative effects in place of or in addition to positive stats (ie, "shounen" might decrease wisdom, yet increase charisma).
At a minimum, each marked series with a given tag would affect the user's stats appropriately. Ideally, the ammount of the effect would be relative to how much was watched (2 15 minute eps might add 1 point, while 1 30 minute ep also adds 1 point, while a 90 minute movie adds 3 points, etc), this would reflect the user's habits/personallity much more accurately. A makeshift alternative would be to have watching/stalled/dropped give half the points that watched gives (very inaccurate, but probably easier to code).
Want to watch would have no effect. Won't watch could either have no effect, or a reverse effect (ie, every "fighting" anime marked as won't watch would decrease the user's strength stat).


Th concept behind this idea is that people would build a virtual character which represents their real selves fairly accurately, by basing it on their own, real world habits & prefences. While it would have no actual function at first, I believe it would be an attractive lure to new users (much like the sigs are), and it would open the door for possibily adding some kind of game in the future.
I realize that this would be a complex, expensive, and time consuming feature to add, but it would be a very unique feature. No other anime site has an RPG based on users' real world behaviors (most don't have an RPG at all).

Incidentally, I have already mentioned to Drahken that if this ever actually gets implemented, I will donate $500 USD to the site. 4 srs. I know that $500 might not be much in the grand scheme of things, but $500 from a single user has to be worth something, right? :D

I think this would be an awesome idea, just not very plausible=\ It would be uber expensive if it is plausible as well=(

I must say, this is quite a fun idea. I quite like it, though I can imagine that the cost for this would be huge and involve a massive amount of work.

Maybe there should be something about rating. Like if you rate the series 2.5/ you will get only half of the stats and if you rate it 5/5 you will get full point value. Because there are people that watched some shonen and they didn't like it so they rated it down and they would still get points for "fighting" or whatever even if they didn't like the show...

Probably got a good idea since people will change their rating to mess with points. Ratings shouldn't be touched because it'll mess with the average rating.

I think the idea is cool, but probably not going to happen. I would be willing to donate towards it though.
