[Question/Request] Max 5 custom lists?

So I just made a couple of custom lists, and I got this message:
You already have the maximum of 5 custom lists. Please delete one of the below lists if you wish to add a new one.

Witch I thought was kind of a bummer. Why does that limit exist? I can understand if the limit was like 50, but I thought 5 was abit low. I was planning on having many lists mainly for reference for myself, I have like a list for animes I might continue reading on the manga, animes I have to rewatch soon, and I was planning on making for animes I have watched 2x, 3x times and on.

Would it be possible to have private lists? if that somehow doesn't touch upon the problem which caused the limit to be set inn the first place.

ill revisit if we should add more than 5 lists - there was an original reason but i likely will just up the count. stay tuned :)

If you just want a lot of simple lists.
As a note only 66/~96,250 user accounts on Anime-Planet have 5 lists.

well, yeah... I will if there's no way around this, hate doing so though:P remember I had that before I discovered this site to record watched and watching, that was messy >.<

edit: Ehh? that few? xD Guess it isen't really a big deal then, I still woulden't mind though:P

At the lists column

~1,400 users have 2 lists. Most of those with 1 are from when Top 5 anime was converted into a list.
21,152 have 1 list, most from when it was converted from top 5.
75,098 (78%) have no lists.

Interesting:) Explains why I've seen so many lists called Top 5 Animes:P thought it was a standard or something.

Before the custom lists feature there was a top 5 anime list for each person, those got transformed into most people's first custom lists after the custom lists feature was added.

Soth stated in an old thread that she originally intended to have it so that people would get a few (5) lists by default & then she would setup some sort of contributors thing where "pro" users could get unlimited lists (along with other as-yet-undetermined bonus features), as a way of helping to fund the site. The lists feature didn't turn out as popular as she hoped though, and there's been no further mention of the whole pro/enhanced users thing.

One alternative to lists is the blog feature. There is no limit to blog posts, so you can use the lists feature for your 5 most important lists, and then make blog posts for the rest.
