A few thoughts after having skimmed over the formular:

1. being able to select a neuter gender (eg: tachikoma)
2. technically bald isn't a hair color - rather a style
3. a hair style field could perhaps some find useful (bald, etc)
4. a difference of past and future characters could be imagined being useful for some (eg. like in youth had long hair and bald in old age [hypothetical])
5. Adding links to chardb realted threads/information to Identify the anime thread could be useful
6. since that the bot creates attachements on the forum, i'd rather throw images somewhere else; since attachments were being disabled on the forum for every normal users for certain reasons, but i hope the images are at least size limited

I think the character database is off to a great start. One thing I would like to see, however, is for our favorite characters list to be displayed in a random order. Right now, it always displays them in alphabetical order, so if you have more favorite characters than are displayed, the rest are never shown on your profile page unless you click "See All".

I'm marking one favorite character per series I've seen, so I'm already past the amount of characters that are displayed. It'd be really nice to see this feature randomized so each character pops up at some point on our front profile page.

We already have a random formula in place in other areas of the site (like random user, etc) -- surely it would not be hard to reuse the same randomization formula in the character list display.

I like the random idea. I also wouldn't mind being able to pick my top ones.

I was kind of thinking of a "recommended character" thing. Like, two characters might both have pink hair, but there may be another character that has a more identical personality. It's probably costly, though.

As more characters are being tagged, this more or less automatically happens. Not as fine-tuned as recommendations, but a decent alternative with the personality-specific tags.
