Default a few questions abut visual novels.

Hello! ^^

I'm fairly new to anime-planet despite having been watxhing anime since 2002, this site seems to be mostly used for anime and manga but I was wondering if, despite there not being a section/database for visual novels, would it be possible for me to write my reviews for the visual novels i've read on this site as well as other anime reviews?

By if it's possible I mean can you even do it in the first place and if it is possible to write it are you allowed to?

I don't only want to review Visual Novels but 'd also like to do some reviews in which i compare the Visual Novel to the Anime, Little Busters! and Ef-A Tale of Memories for example.

If it isn't possible to write reviews for Visual Novels could we get a feature that makes it possible to write Visual Novel reviews, to specify that the review is for a Visual Novel (not even make an entirely new section for visual novels)?

You can use your blog to post those reviews and there are series tags that can help you connect your reviews to manga and anime. If you want to specify that your review is for a Visual Novel, you could use your own Visual Novel user tag.

As for Visual Novels being added to the site, I think it was requested a number of times already and denied each time (I haven't read every one of those threads so I'm not 100% sure). You could search this subforum for "Visual Novels" keyword and see what was the answer yourself.

If you've watched the associated anime, you could write a user review of said anime & work in the comparison to the visual novel.

You can (as jahu mentioned) use the blogs to post reviews of visual novels (or anything else).

You could also post reviews of visual novels on the forum, although the most appropriate subsetion would be a bit of a puzzle. They could certainly be placed in either the general discussion section or the entertainment section.

we could always start a 'visual novel club'. there's clubs for smaller subsections of geekland.

Most of the VN's contain hentai, no? That's probably why sothis doesn't want them here.

hmm... is it really most?

I guess it's probably more than 50% yeah. there's plenty enough that don't but it would make for a pretty piddly 'database' to compile just those

(i'm a little weirded out, i have to say, by random people using my real name :| )

Since your name isn't even listed on the site, not many people will even know who he was talking about (people probably could figure it out though) either.

Ah, sorry about that. I just have a quirk where I find it difficult to write monikers that don't start with a capital so I just went with the name, it's a nice name...it's also very short and I am of the lazy persuasion.

Well..... If you find it difficult to write a moniker without a capital, why not just capitalize it? Very few people are anal enough to care if someone spells their nick as "Sothis" instead of "sothis" or "drahken" instead of "Drahken", etc.
