Default [request] Make main pic in recs shows screens for that series

Since the screenshots have been moved to an overlay thing, how viable would it be to make it so that clicking the main pic in a rec would bring up an overlay with the screens from that series?
For example; I look at the gundam entry, I see macross rec'ed for it, I click the pic next to the macross rec & get an overlay with the macross screenshots. I then scroll down and see mazinger rec'ed for gundam, click on the mazinger pic next to the rec, and get an overlay with the mazinger screenshots.

Since the recs already include the synop, and since screenshots no longer require predetermined space on the page, having the rec screenshots pop up in such a manner is the next logical step. I don't know how hard something like that would be to code though.

Since it's all within one domain (and http requests are allowed) I might be able to patch a user script that does exactly that, except it would produce slightly more traffic then it's actually needed (only when you click on the image, but still).

Something similar should be simple enough to make from the server side, but from experienced in my work, even the simple things require some time to write (my boss is always complaining that I'm writing stuff too slow).

all, please don't make user scripts that they distributed if a feature doesn't exist, as yes, it does impact site traffic and can impact other parts of the site as well. if we choose to add a feature it'll be something i put up in the site code.

that being said, i'll look into it

^^not sure how many more times i need to say "i wish people would stop saying 'this should be easy' if they arent familiar with the site code" :| the only person that can really speak to if something is easy or hard to add is me, at this point

So, no scripts that impact site traffic? Well, I didn't want to write that script because of that. I'm not sure if I understand all the rest though.

Yeah, I understand. I'm given those "easy tasks" all the time at work and they tend to take far more time than I'm expected to complete them in (especially if I'm to work with a site I'm completely unfamiliar with doing a task I've never done before).

As for me saying about writing something being simple, I guess I was just lost in my own flow of thought. Kind of a mental note to myself that: in a such and such scenario such and such solution would be (relatively) simple. Even if a solution is simple, it doesn't mean it won't take a while to code and after that there is testing, fixing etc. (but I'm sure you've got far more experience with that sothis than me).
