[Request] New user check in ("say hello") thread to help stop the spammers.
 

Would it be possible to implement some form of spammer control, such as having new users check into a "Say hello" thread to make sure they are human, preventing new users from starting new threads for a period of time (or without posting to a "site rules" thread), or even preventing new users from posting more than one or two posts per day for the first couple of days.

It seems the bulk of these spammers register and post a dozen or so times same day, within a few minutes of registering.



Maybe they aren't big enough of an issue to warrant any major changes. Just figured I'd throw it out there.
